You’re likely busy preparing for Christmas and overwhelmed with the thought of cleaning up after the festivities have ended. Although your mind is focused on this wonderful day, the new year is quickly approaching whether you’re ready or not. If you didn’t accomplish all your goals this year, now is the time to at least make a list of what you want to accomplish next year. By doing so, you can enter the new year with optimism instead of thinking about your failures or progress delays.

Carve Out Planning Time Before Carving Your Dinner

The holiday season offers many benefits. There’s gifts, food, and family time to look forward to enjoying. However, if you’re not paying attention, time will pass without spending time with yourself. This doesn’t mean you have to be secluded when family is around but carving out intervals of 30 minutes periodically to do one thing on your goal list will accomplish a lot.

The clock is ticking so it’s important to get organized now. Make a list and check it twice to begin organizing your living space and business area. You can also plan events by listing dates, vending locations, gifts, guests, and other resources. This can help you avoid rushing and forgetting about important details. You may also be able to save a lot on services and other items if you start searching for early bird discounts.

Don’t end this year without assessing your progress and think about ways you can improve your life management processes. If you need to work on time management, think about what projects are unnecessary and eliminate those time thieves.

If there are some toxic or unprofitable relationships you need to detach yourself from, do it quickly, but use wisdom. Create deadlines for each goal you want to accomplish next year and start making your goals a priority as soon as the holidays are over.
